Regency Intensifies Monitoring to Ensure Cleanliness in Thousand Islands

Thousand Island Secretary, Eric Pahlevi Zakaria stated that Regency will intensify its monitoring to ensure cleanliness in the area during rainy season. It is conveyed when holding assembly at Regency Office's Hall, Pramuka Island, North Thousand Islands.

"We need to monitor the area to anticipate pile of garbage that carried by the stream," he said while leading the assembly, Monday (1/14).

Channel on Pramuka Island Cleaned from Mud and Garbage

According to him, garbage which are carried by the stream should be handled immediately because it is potential to clog the channel, cause inundation and become a place for mosquitoes to breed.

He also expected urban village and sub-district heads to monitor their areas more thoroughly.

"It means, they must often monitor cleanliness of their areas," he asserted.
